We are thrilled to invite you to our Annual Chuck Yeager Day on Saturday, September 27, 2025. This exciting event will kick off at 8:00am and wrap up 3:00pm. We have an action packed day planned featuring an RC Airplane Demo, an antique car show, STEM activities for kids, and much more. We will also be displaying the winners of the Aviation Art Contest. Pancake breakfast will be sponsored by EAA Chapter 1336, and food truck & treat vendors will be available for purchase. Including That's A Wrap, Food Coma, Jimmy Avocado's Cajun Taco Creations & Snow Biz.

The Jackson County Airport is excited to celebrate back-to-school season by hosting an Aviation Art Contest for local students in grades K-12. We're inviting young artists to showcase their creative and unique imaginations through their artwork. Two winners from each category will be chosen and will receive a gift bag filled with donations from local businesses. Additionally, the winning pieces will be displayed during our annual General Chuck Yeager Day on September 27, 2025. Please submit your artwork by September 6, 2025. We eagerly anticipate seeing all the incredible submissions!
